PrimePort Timaru
Wharf Re-Deck

PrimePort Timaru have begun to upgrade the No.1 Wharf deck and bollards in order to lift this up to the required standard for incoming cruise ships.

PrimePort Timaru work to demolish the existing deck slab, and undertake any repair work to the timber structure including driving in new piles where needed.

Once the project reaches this point Thompson take over and lay down the Hi-Bond steel decking, then form the front wharf edge, cutting and bending all of the reinforcing, before fixing this in place, and pouring all concrete on site.

As the Wharf is still operational the project is completed in stages so that ships can still berth as required meaning this job will continue into 2020.
